NEW! Free Member
A Free Member must be involved in the day-to-day installation and/or service of the various types of satellite and/or broadband systems. Free members have limited voting rights, may not be elected to the Board of Directors or serve as an Officer but may serve on committees.

Technician Member
To qualify as a Technician member, individual must be involved in the day-to-day installation and/or service of the various types of satellite and/or broadband systems. Technician members have full voting rights, may be elected to the Board of Directors, serve as an Officer and may also chair and/or serve on committees.

Retailer Member
Retail Members are those companies organized either as a corporation, partnership or sole proprietorships involved in the retail sale, installation and service of various types of satellite and/or broadband systems. Retail members have full voting rights, may be elected to the Board of Directors, serve as an Officer and may also chair and/or serve on committees.

Industry Affiliate Member
An Industry Affiliate member is classified as a person or company involved in the satellite/broadband industry but that does not employ or contract the services of retailers or technicians. Examples of Industry Affiliate members would be distributors, industry media, marketing companies, etc. Industry Affiliate members have full voting rights, may be elected to the Board of Directors, serve as an Officer and may also chair and/or serve on committees. Industry Affiliate members will receive advertising credits as part of their membership.

Associate Member
Associate membership is open to other companies involved in the satellite/broadband industry but not classified above, qualify as an Associate member. Associate membership carries no voting rights and is usually reserved for those companies, organizations and individuals wishing to show support for the independent satellite/broadband retailer and technician. Associate members will receive advertising credits as part of their membership.

STARS Yearly Membership dues are as follows
Membership dues are not tax deductible as charitable contributions, however are deductible as a business expense. No portion of membership dues are used towards political lobbying at this time.
